My 3 "Why's" for The Unlimited Refills Blog

There's always a motive, right? Right.

When I began the journey of creating The Unlimited Refills Blog, truthfully, there was SO much I wanted to cover. I had been approached many times to talk about my own personal story, which I call Trauma into Triumph, what a toxic workplace environment can look like and how to pinpoint those red flags, how to have a balance between both your personal and professional lives, as well as why mental health is not a hindering factor of your success.

"Why" #1

“Great things never came from comfort zones.”

It would be pretty easy to live exclusively inside of our comfort zones, right? What if Tory Burch, founder of Tory Burch (side note: one of my favorite brands!) chose to stay within her comfort zone? Hello - we wouldn't have the cutest handbags, of course! On a more serious note, what if you never left your comfort zone? For me, I wouldn't be typing this blog right now; sharing my personal struggles are totally out of my comfort zone, but here we are. So let's leave that comfort zone and start living out our purposes, sis!

"Why" #2

"In a world of paper chasers, be a purpose chaser." - Ambee Stephens

Money makes the world go 'round? Of course, but money shouldn't be the motivator. My own purpose for this blog is to share the truth behind what success looks like, and the journey I was on that got me there (it was not a glamorous one). This blog is real. This blog is raw. This blog is also funny, light-hearted, and meant to seem like you're sitting in a coffee shop with your girlfriends spilling the tea, or in this case, coffee on life. Finding your purpose may seem complex (and maybe even a little intimidating), but it doesn't have to be. You may find your purpose shifts throughout your life, and that's totally normal. Long-story-short, I didn't start in the business industry, I actually started in the healthcare industry as a CNA wiping people's butts and on my journey to become a nurse. See, my purpose behind that was always to help others, and with this blog, that is still my purpose... minus the butt-wiping part!

"Why" #3

No one is you, and that is your superpower.”

My middle name, you'll never guess it. It's Katurah. In my 24 years of life on this earth, not one person has ever been able to guess my middle name, and for some reason, that makes me smile. When I was younger, I had always wished that my middle name was a common one; Lynn, Marie, Rose, etc. Today? I embrace my uniqueness, especially the uniqueness of my journey. My journey from the trauma I endured to get to where I am today is unique, and it's something I cannot wait to share with you all; it seems to be a HOT requested topic. You're you, just as it was intended. My middle name is Katurah, and as hard as it would be for others to guess, that's kind of my superpower, right? Let's connect those dots and uncover YOUR personal superpower, shall we?

I am so happy you're here.

This journey is one I could not be more excited to share with you all, so stay tuned.
